Can't Stop Me

Here's the plot to your worst nightmare
For anybody that figured you wouldn't ever get it
They asking for a picture why fabricating depictions
On some how we all used to be cool shit
I would beg to differ
I aint gotta beg for nothing
The universe been tryna tell me something
I feel like everybody tryna sell me something
I been in a zone with nobody to cover
I'mma small town hero
I hit the big cities and compete with the best come back home and drink whiskey
Still humble enough to have a beer wit you
And listen to you tell me who to put on a song
Or what type of song to make so I really get on
When I do I'll get called some type of corporate pawn
Congratulate me being on the board at all
I keep letting the local shit get to my heart
Ya mixtape was free and aint nobody want it
I always get the girls that you lame dudes wanted
The credit that I think I deserve don't even matter
The people that I'm wanting to give it don't even matter
Cause Lauren Hill told us that nothing really matters
I wish I wouldve listened to her before I started rappin
I'm still in this bitch
Shout out to B.O.B cause that song just went platinum
It shows me it can happen
Gimme everything that you think you got
When you punch yaself out I'll be in the same spot singing (2x)
You hear them shots ringing
No matter how hard you try you can't stop me now (2x)
The little engine that could realized that he can in fact
So all you see now is bodies laid out on the tracks
A wise man told me don't believe my own hype
Then he tried to sell me his mixtape
Homie I been great nothing less
Good things take time like a stolen Rolex
I'm tryna keep focus like Margot Robbie
So I'm not stoppin
I'm not coppin none of the bullshit yall droppin
A couple years ago some kats was riding wit me
Till they realized I became competition
Corporate folks jackin our slang that we taught em
And tried to use it on us selling refurbished products
Everybody talkin revitalization
But can't name a business on the block they pavin
Of course I can name drop better than you
What's the point if I'm already better than you
Who else you know create with no budget
One hand on my luggage
The other hand leap froggin the crabs in the bucket
Put my name on ya project it increases the buzz like bad cables
Ask me why I'm not more famous and I'm cussin you out
You not understandin what the fuck it's about
It's not about the money it's the game between people
It's not how you met me but it's all on how I leave you
You can kill a man but his spirit is the key
There's nothing on this earth that can drain me of my energy
Running with myself so we'll never be even
I'mma make hard for some of yall to sleep this evening
No matter how hard you try you can't stop me now (2x)

It's the groove the feelin you gotta move with it
If you don't know what to do with it
Let me show you what to do with it
Tell me how you feelin now
It's the two of us here body to body
Dinner at Zest the hotel Juliani
I let you walk ahead while we comin through the lobby
I wanna spin you around me then pull you in close
Tell me that you
Tell me that you love me baby
Or I don't have to ever know
Tell me that you
Tell me that you need me baby
Or I don't have to ever know
It's the groove the feelin you gotta move with it
If you don't know what to do with it
Let me show you what to do with it
Tell me how you feelin now
Living better that's the best way to put it
Came a long way from that small square footage
Drinkin all night comin up the stairs almost lost your footing
Caught her got my hand on her bosom and I ask her
Tell me that you
Tell me that you love me baby
Or I don't have to ever know
Tell me that you
Tell me that you need me baby
Or I don't have to ever know
You used to tell me that we made it before we got this way
Now that we're hear baby I just want you to count the ways
That you love me, that you want me, that you need me
Or I don't have to ever know
Last night in paradise
Tryna make sure we do it right
Dinner by candlelight
On the balcony
Got ya favorite bottle ready bartender bring it out for me
We make history when the glasses clink
She twist hair behind her ear
She said it's one thing she's got to hear
Tell me that you
Tell me that you love me baby
Or I don't have to ever know
Tell me that you
Tell me that you need me baby
Or I don't have to ever know

I wasn’t really into cars, until I turned 7
I seen my first Porsche 911, the seats was all leather
The lights popped up, it had a glossy red paint
The driver was getting out to fill up the tank
He must’ve been a stock broker
We never get see cars like this close up, unless it’s on a poster
Or the old heads pitching bass like they throwing speakers
The seats in our car felt like the gym bleachers
I said, “Ma, i’ma get a car like that, & take out a pretty girl that I like in my class”
She just laughed, she knew I had a wild imagination
And deep down inside I think she knew I wasn’t playing
I’m in the back thinking bout how fast it goes
Driving through the neighborhoods where all the gates is gold
Out on the open road that the cops don’t know
Looking at the countryside full of cows & goats
What’s the point of having dreams of a Nissan
Looking like a soccer mom, headed to the field on Friday
I want a car that makes me feel as cool as I am
Back when they used to say, “Niggas cool as a fan”
Gotdamn
We’re just rollin, No cares on where we’re going
Hopped in the car, wasn’t sure where we headed
I just copped the Porsche 911
I just copped the Porsche 911
I’m good money now, i’m a conscious Curren$y
Just got back from a 10 city journey
Where they know every word to the songs I write
I even had my parents come to a show one night
But I turned into a dude that really misses his car
I’m ready to gas up and just drive
I get back home, start the whip, back out and make a right
The golden gates open and I tell the guard, “Hi.”
I let the top down speeding through these winding roads
Couldn’t be a nicer day if the sky just spoke
Rode past a little farm with some cows & goats
Pulled in the gas station next to an SUV
The sliding doors open as I get out
Two kids & a soccer mom start to get out, a boy & a girl
The little boy walked over and asked, “Hey mister, how’d you get a car like that?”
I just smiled, the mom tried to apologize
I told her that it’s cool as I leaned down to him
I said to him, “All you gotta do is believe. Don’t let nobody tell you bout what you can’t be.”
We’re just rollin, No cares on where we’re going
Hopped in the car, wasn’t sure where we headed
I just copped the Porsche 911
I just copped the Porsche 911

Welcome the boys back home
They been gone to long
They been away too long
Aren't you glad they're back home (3x)
Clear the runway lady
I been gone 5 or 6 Sundays maybe
Every other trip I get more and more famous
You should already have dinner on the table
Call the Mayor and tell him we should throw a parade
We never ever talk about the city in vein
We tell em where we're from and they call it the A
That's the gift & the curse when you live in GA
Bought another suitcase cause I did a little shoppin
Rather get it custom than to get what they been rockin
Please don't inform me bout none of the local gossip
I already know that they aint shit
Why would I think it changed in about 1000 hours
No reason for being modest
We been puttin on exactly how we promised
Get the bottles and pop em
I think it's time that you
Welcome the boys back home
They been gone to long
They been away too long
Aren't you glad they're back home (3x)
A lot of niggas tried to enlist but we got drafted
Cause the flow cold like the back of the cabinet
The cops still tryna put us all in a casket
And we just tryna take the new single to the masses
Things change when you start catchin flights
And they noticed that you aint hanging round on most nights
They don't know what to say when you walk into the room
The only time you got to leave the city was ya honeymoon
It's all cool let me see the pictures
Selfie with ya wife in ya room at the Hilton
Couple fake smiles then I'm out with the quickness
Before they talk about race again
It's really only cause I'm they only black friend
It's like the whole culture I gotta defend
Same ol same every time I'm back
That's why you'll always find me where the whiskey's at
When it's time to
Welcome the boys back home
They been gone to long
They been away too long
Aren't you glad they're back home (3x)
